# Pickup settings

Pickup lets customers come to you. This is the most common fulfillment method for agrifood vendors — farm stands, farmers markets, and on-farm sales all work through pickup.

***

## Turning Pickup On or Off

1. Go to **Fulfillment Settings → Pickup**.
2. Use the toggle at the top right to enable or disable pickup.

The toggle shows **"Offering pickups"** or **"Not offering pickups"** based on its current state.

***

## Your Default Pickup Location

The default pickup location is your primary address. It appears to customers as where to collect their order, and it is used as the origin point for delivery and shipping calculations.

**If no default location is set**, you will see a message prompting you to create one. Click **Create now** to open the setup form.

**If a default location already exists**, it appears as a card showing:

* Location name
* Full address
* Business hours for each day of the week

### Editing the Default Location

Click the **⋮ (more options)** button on the location card to edit the name, address, or hours.

<Note>
  Your default pickup location is also used as the ship-from address for all shipping orders. Keep it accurate.
</Note>

## Multiple Pickup Locations

If you operate from more than one site — such as a main farm plus a market stall — you can add additional pickup locations.

**To enable multiple locations:**

1. Scroll to the **Enable multiple pickup locations** toggle.
2. Turn it on.
3. An **Add a new pickup location** button will appear.

**To add a location:**

1. Click **Add a new pickup location**.
2. Fill in the location name, address, and business hours.
3. Save.

Each additional location appears as a card below the default. Customers will be able to choose which location they want to pick up from when placing their order.

### Managing an Existing Location

Each location card has two action buttons:

* **⋮ (more options)** — edit the name, address, or hours
* **Delete (trash icon)** — remove the location

<Warning>
  Deleting a pickup location cannot be undone. If you are temporarily closed, consider editing the hours to mark all days as Closed instead of deleting the location.
</Warning>

***

## Setting Business Hours

Each pickup location has its own set of business hours. When adding or editing a location, you will see a schedule with one row per day of the week.

For each day:

* Set an **open time** and a **close time**, or
* Mark the day as **Closed**

Hours are shown to customers on your store page and during checkout.

<Tip>
  If your pickup hours change seasonally, update them at the start of each season. Customers see live hours when they order.
</Tip>

## What Customers See

When a customer places a pickup order, they select their preferred pickup location and a time that falls within your business hours. You receive the order and can track it through the fulfillment dashboard.

The order status updates the customer automatically as you move it through the stages:

* **Accepted** → **Preparing** → **Ready** → **Completed**

See [Managing Orders](/fulfillment/managing-orders) for more on how order stages work.
