# Understanding a Product Page
When you tap any product in the Local Market, you're taken to that product's **detail page**. This page gives you all the information you need before adding it to your cart.

## What's on the Product Page
### Product Image
At the top of the page you'll see the main product photo. If the product has special labels, they appear overlaid on the image:
* A **discount badge** (e.g. *-20%*) if the product is on sale
* A **rating badge** (e.g. ⭐ 4.3) if the product has been reviewed
* A green **Soon-to-go** tag if the product is close to its best-before date
Tapping the **Soon-to-go** tag opens a pop-up explaining what the label means.

### Price
Below the image you'll see the price displayed clearly:
* If the product has a **sale price**, you'll see the discounted price prominently, with the original price shown crossed out beside it, and a red badge showing the percentage off (e.g. *20% off*)
* If there's no sale, you'll see the **regular price** with a CA\$ prefix

### Delivery & Availability
A small note below the price tells you when the product will be available:
| Message | Meaning |
| ------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| *Available today!* | You can receive this product in today's delivery or pickup window |
| *Available next day* | This product will be ready the following day |
| *Takes X days to prepare* | The vendor needs a few days to prepare this item (e.g. custom orders) |

### Product Options
Some products have **options** you can choose before adding to your basket — for example, selecting a size, weight, or variety.
Options come in two types:
* **Variants**: Choosing a variant changes the product's price. For example, selecting *500g* vs *1kg* will set a different price.
* **Add-ons**: These are extras added on top of the base product, each with their own price.
Options marked **Required** must be selected before you can add the product to your basket. The **Add to basket** button will remain greyed out until all required options are chosen.
To select an option, tap the **checkbox** next to it. Some option groups are *choose only one*, meaning selecting a new option will deselect the previous one.

### Custom Orders (Wholesale)
Some products — typically things sold by weight, like bulk meat or produce — support **custom quantity orders** instead of a simple item count. If you see a **Custom Order** section, it shows you upfront:
* **Maximum amount** — the most the vendor can supply in one order (e.g. *Maximum amount: 300 kg*)
* **Price per unit** — the rate you're paying (e.g. *Price per unit: \$8.00/1 kg*)
* Any **bulk discount** — a percentage off once you order above a set quantity (e.g. *10% discount available on orders over 50 kg*), shown only when the vendor offers one
To use it:
1. Type in how many units you want (e.g. *12*, for 12 kg)
2. Tap **Confirm** — a brief "Custom amount is set" message confirms it, and your estimated cost updates automatically (with the bulk discount applied if you qualify)
3. Tap the refresh icon at any time to reset and enter a different amount
If you enter more than the vendor's maximum, a **"Maximum amount reached"** warning appears and tapping Confirm shows an error telling you exactly how many units the vendor can process instead.

### Description & Details Tabs
Below the options you'll find two tabs:
**Description tab** The vendor's own description of the product — what it is, how it's made, how to use it, etc.
**Details tab** More technical information, including:
* **Allergens**: Specific allergens present in the product (e.g. *Gluten*, *Tree Nuts*)
* **Certifications**: Dietary labels the product carries (e.g. *Certified Organic*, *Halal*)
* **Stock status**: Whether the product is in stock, low stock, or out of stock
* **Shipping**: Whether the vendor ships this product
Always check the allergen list on the Details tab if you have a food allergy. Contact the vendor directly if you need more information.

### About the Seller
Further down the page you'll find a section about the vendor selling the product, including:
* Their **name**, **rating**, and **tagline**
* Buttons to view **All Products** from that store or **Visit Store** to see their full profile
* Whether **delivery** and **pickup** are available

### You May Also Enjoy
At the bottom of the product page, the app shows a horizontal list of **other featured products** from the same vendor. Tap any of them to open that product's page.

### Report This Product
If you believe a product listing is inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate, tap **Report this product** at the very bottom of the page. This opens a pre-filled email to the Local Pass support team.

## Adding to Your Basket
At the bottom of the screen, you'll find the **Add to basket** bar:
1. Use the **– / +** buttons on the left to set how many you want
2. The button on the right shows the quantity and total price (e.g. *Add 2 to basket • \$14.00*)
3. Tap it to add the product to your cart
You must be logged in to add items to your cart. If you're not logged in, tapping the button will prompt you to create an account.
If any **required options** haven't been selected yet, the button will be greyed out. Select all required options first.
