# Product filters
Every product feed in the Local Market — whether you're browsing a category, a vendor's catalogue, or a section like Fresh Deals — has the same filter bar at the top. These chips let you quickly narrow results down to what matters to you.

## The Filter Bar
At the top of the product grid you'll see a row of pill-shaped chips. Tap any chip to open its options (or, for the toggle-style ones, to switch it straight on or off). When a filter is **active**, its chip turns green.
| Chip | What It Does |
| -------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Price** | Opens a price range picker |
| **Dietary** | Opens a searchable list of dietary labels |
| **Allergies** | Lets you exclude products listing a specific allergen |
| **Top Rated** | A toggle — shows only products rated 4.0 and above. Only appears on feeds where it's relevant |
| **Soon To Go** | A toggle — shows only products marked with the Soon to Go label. Only appears where relevant |
| **Deals** | A toggle — shows only products with an active promotion. Only appears where relevant |
You can combine multiple filters at once. When any filter is active, a **Reset** chip appears at the start of the row — tap it to clear everything.

## Price
Tap the **Price** chip to open a price range sheet. You can either:
* Tap a **preset range** — \$0 – \$10, \$10 – \$25, \$25 – \$50, \$50 – \$100, or \$100+ — which applies immediately, or
* Drag the **range slider** below the presets to set a custom minimum and maximum (up to \$1,000+)
Either way, results update as soon as you finish adjusting. If a price filter is active, a **Clear** button appears next to the "Price Range" title to reset it.

## Dietary
Tap the **Dietary** chip to open a searchable, multi-select list of labels, including:
Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free, Paleo, Grass-Fed Beef, Lactose Free, Keto Friendly, No Artificial Preservatives, Low Sodium, Ethically Raised, Dairy Free, Allergen Free, Non-GMO, Fair Trade, Sugar Free, Whole Grain, Certified Organic, Cage Free Eggs, Low Fat, and Contains Allergens.
Check as many as apply, then tap **Apply Filters** to confirm your selection.

## Allergies
Tap the **Allergies** chip to open **Exclude Allergens**. Type an allergen you want to avoid (for example, *Peanuts*) — products that list it will be hidden from your results.
The allergen filter is based on information vendors have entered into the system. Always check the product details and contact the vendor directly if you have a severe allergy.

## Top Rated, Soon To Go, and Deals
These three are simple on/off toggles rather than menus — tap the chip and the filter applies immediately:
* **Top Rated** shows only products with an overall rating of 4.0 or higher.
* **Soon To Go** shows only products marked close to their best-before date and discounted.
* **Deals** shows only products with an active promotion.
Not every feed shows all three — a chip only appears when it's relevant to that particular feed.

## Resetting Filters
When any filter is active, a **Reset** chip appears at the start of the filter row. Tap it to clear every active filter — price, dietary, allergies, and any active toggles — and return to the full unfiltered product list.

## Subcategory Quick Links
When browsing a main category (e.g. *Produce*), you'll also see a horizontal row of **subcategory chips** — for example, *Root Vegetables*, *Leafy Greens*. Tapping one takes you directly to that subcategory's product page.
