# Referrals

The Referrals page lets you share Local Pass with friends and family. When someone signs up using your unique referral link, both you and your friend benefit.

## Getting to the Referrals Page

1. Tap the **Profile** icon in the bottom navigation bar.
2. Tap **Settings**.
3. Under **Personal Account**, tap **Share with a friend**.

## How Referrals Work

* Every new Local Pass account gets **3 free deliveries** as a welcome bonus — whether or not they were referred. If your friend signs up through your link, they still get this same welcome bonus, so you're not costing them anything by referring them.
* You receive **\$10 in Local Coins** — but only once your friend places and completes their **first order**. Signing up alone doesn't trigger it.

  There's no limit on referrals. Share your link with as many friends as you like — each one who signs up and orders earns you another \$10.

## Sharing Your Referral Link

Open the Referrals page and tap **Share Link** to bring up your device's share sheet (SMS, WhatsApp, email, or any other app installed). The first time you tap **Share Link** or **Copy**, Local Pass generates your unique referral code if you don't already have one.

### Share via Message, Email, or Social Media

1. Tap **Share Link**.
2. Choose how you want to share: SMS, WhatsApp, email, or any other app on your device.
3. Your referral link is included automatically in the message.

### Email an Invitation Directly

Below the share options, there's a dedicated email field:

1. Enter your friend's email address.
2. Tap **Invite**.

Local Pass sends the invitation email on your behalf — you don't need to leave the app or compose anything yourself.

### Social Media Templates

Tap **Social** to open a set of pre-made template images you can share to your social channels (e.g. as an Instagram Story). Tapping a template opens it so you can save or share it from there — Local Pass doesn't post on your behalf.

### Copy Your Referral Link

Tap the link box at the top of the Referrals page to copy your referral link to your clipboard, ready to paste into any message, post, or email.

## Your Referral Link

Your referral link follows this format:

When a friend opens this link and creates a new account, the referral is tracked automatically — no code needs to be typed in manually.

## Checking Your Referral Rewards

Your \$10-per-referral rewards are Local Coins, credited to your account automatically once each referred friend completes their first order. Your current Local Coins balance is shown on your Local Pass card on the home screen, and in the **Wallet** section of the app.

## Terms for Referrals

* The friend you refer must be a **new user** who has never had a Local Pass account before.
* You can't use your own referral code on your own account.
* Your friend's welcome bonus (3 free deliveries) is granted as soon as their account is created — that part isn't conditional on referring anyone.
* Your \$10 reward is granted only after your referred friend **completes their first order**. If they sign up but never order, you won't be rewarded — the referral stays pending indefinitely rather than expiring.
* Referral rewards are subject to Local Pass terms and conditions.

## Frequently Asked Questions

**My friend signed up but I did not get my reward — what should I do?** Signing up alone doesn't trigger your \$10 reward — your friend needs to place and complete their first order first. If they've already ordered and you still don't see the reward, make sure they used your referral link when creating their account, then contact Local Pass support through **Settings → Contact Local Pass team**.

**Can I use someone else's referral link when creating my account?** Yes. If you were referred by a friend, open their referral link before creating your account to have the referral tracked — though you'll get your 3 free deliveries either way, referred or not.

**Is there a limit to how many people I can refer?** No. You can share your referral link with as many people as you like.
